This Community Health Services Support Project was carried out from the financial support of Chay Ya Austria and Government of Nepal/Kharpunath Rural Municipality. The implementation work at community level was done by Chay Ya Nepal in collaboration with Kharpunath Community Health Center Management Committee. This project will provide Six (8) rooms building using Dry Stone Wood Masonry.
In our 2017 visit to Kharpunath Rural Municipality of Humla district, we found that there was no proper health facility to provide community medicine and birthing center. However, there was primitive health post which has very poor structure and had no proper health services and staffs. This is the reason why Chay Ya along with Kharpunath Rural Municipality planned a community health center and birthing station building. This health center provides health service to whole Kharpunath rural municipality where 6011 people will be directly benefited. Local people from Kharpunath are very happy that Chay Ya Austria funded the project.
The construction process was started with Laying Foundation Program in April 2018. The design and estimation was approved from the municipality.
