Inauguration and Handover of a Four-Classroom School Building in Paroha Municipality

An inauguration and handover program of a newly constructed four-room school building at Shree Basic School, Bhediyahi, was successfully completed in Paroha Municipality–6, Rautahat. The program was jointly led by Deputy Mayor of Paroha Municipality, Sugandhi Giri, and the Executive Director of Chay-Ya Nepal, Mr. Kamal Thapa.
The building is a two-story structure with four classrooms, constructed at a total cost of NPR 5.75 million. Out of this, NPR 5.4 million was spent on building construction, and NPR 350,000 was used for toilet facilities. According to Mr. Rajesh Sah, a representative of the organization, the project was funded with NPR 1.8 million from Paroha Municipality under the President’s Educational Reform Program, and NPR 3.95 million was provided through a joint collaboration between the Carnevali Foundation and Chay-Ya Nepal.
During the program, Mr. Ramchandra Giri, a parliamentary candidate, acknowledged the municipality’s past investments in education and assured the community that he will continue working to strengthen the education sector in the future. He also mentioned that a stadium will be developed within the municipality and that tree plantation efforts have been carried out from Sukdev Chowk to Rampurkhap near the Indian border, with more tree planting planned in other suitable areas.
Also addressing the event, the Chief Administrative Officer of Paroha Municipality, Mr. Mahfooz Ahmad, expressed his appreciation for Chay-Ya Nepal’s active role in the construction of the school building. He added that the municipality hopes Chay-Ya Nepal will continue similar support in other schools in the future.
The inauguration and handover program was conducted under the chairmanship of Principal Mr. Raj Singh Patel of Shree Basic School. The event was hosted by Mr. Krishna Prasad Jaiswal.
