Experience an evening with authentic Nepali culture and cuisine. An event “Movie Night Nepal” organized by Chay-Ya USA will portrait the natural beauty of Nepal and hardship of people living in the remote region.

Event day: October 3rd, 2019

Time: Door Opens at 6:30 PM. Show starts at 7 PM and Concludes at 9 PM

Venue: Hager auditorium, Bozeman, Montana.

Following are the main features of the events:

  • Food- from 6:30 to show time hot Dal Bhat, the traditional food of Nepal, will be served in the Hager foyer so come early and enjoy a taste of Nepal cooking.
  • Presentation- We will show 3 movies, 2 short films focusing on recent Chay-Ya volunteers and one 55 min film, “In the Shadow of Everest”, on the beauty and culture of Nepal.
  • Admission- Students $10 & Public $20. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at www.chayyausa.org via PayPal.

Mission- Chay-Ya USA and Chay-Ya Nepal focus on providing rural family health programs (general Health Clinics and Birthing Centers), educational (teachers/supplies including the building of 73 class rooms after the devastating earthquake of 2015), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Program, and continued support of the Kailali School for disabled children. In short, our work attempts to alleviate sever poverty to family’s in remote communities of the Himalayas and marginalized communities in lower Nepal.

Organizational Overhead- Chay-Ya Network is predominately a volunteer staffed organization. The combined Chay-Ya Network operates on less than 5% of all donations with the remaining 95% supporting our projects.

Current Project- Chay-Ya has committed to building its 4th rural Birthing Center in Rautahat, an “untouchable” community in southern Nepal. Chay-Ya USA as committed to providing 50% of the project cost which is $10,000.
