The Digital Education Project supported by Chay Ya is making a notable impact in Madhesh Province, according to stakeholders at the annual review workshop held in Janakpurdham. The event saw the participation of over 70 education professionals and local officials, who highlighted the growing effectiveness of digital learning in improving school-level teaching and learning processes.

Participants reported that the programme’s introduction of digital tools and resources has helped bridge gaps in traditional classroom instruction by integrating theoretical concepts with practical, technology-based learning. In several schools across Rautahat, Mahottari, and Dhanusha districts—including 16 primary schools—teachers, students, and parents expressed strong support for the initiative, noting clear improvements in engagement and understanding.

At the workshop, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Madhesh Province, school principals, local government officials, and community leaders emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to further strengthen digital education. Students shared how digital lessons—with multimedia presentations and interactive content—have made learning more enjoyable and effective, boosting participation and classroom interest.

Teachers also highlighted how digital learning has increased student involvement across subjects and helped foster greater interest in homework and school attendance. The programme’s structured digital modules in social studies, science, and technology provide diverse learning formats that students and educators alike have welcomed.

Looking ahead, stakeholders expressed a strong commitment to expanding the Digital Education Programme to additional districts, building on the positive outcomes seen so far.
